Airport

Seattle International Airport is located about 16 miles from the University of Washington.  The Organizing Committee will provide a welcoming and information table for your convenience during the daytime arrivals by the Northwest baggage claim area.  Grayline has a shuttle service from the airport to major hotels for about $7.50 one way, and $13.00 round trip

Alaska Airlines and United Airlines have been named the Official Airlines of the 1998 National Junior Olympics Track & Field Championships.  Alaska  is offering group travel discounts of 5% on all fares.  To get your best summer air fare in advance, book your tickets for $25.00 a ticket, and add your individuals after your regional qualifying meet.

For United Airlines, an additional 5% discount off the lowest applicable fare will be offered ONLY when you or your travel agent call United’s toll-free number 1-800-521-4041.  United is also pleased to offer an additional 5% towards the purchase of tickets purchased at least 60 days in advance.  The same discounts apply on Shuttle by United and United Express.  Dedicated reservationists are on-duty 7 days a week, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST.  Book early to take advantage of promotional fares that give you the greatest discount.  Mileage Plus members receive full credit for all miles flown to this meeting.

Car and Van Rental

Event Parking

Parking is available only in the north end of the E1 lot.  The fee is $1.75, in quarters only, when you enter the parking area.

All other nearby lots are for the use of UW Hospital staff and patients to the hospital.  Please respect their needs and park only in the north end of the E1 lot.

Since parking space is limited, try to carpool as much as possible.
